Online Vaping Awareness Program

A self-paced program covering vaping devices, nicotine and THC, physical health risks, social and legal consequences, quitting strategies, maintaining a vape-free lifestyle, and a completion certificate we generate in-house.

Who takes a vaping awareness program?

Teens and adults may enroll after instructions from a court, probation office, diversion program, school, employer, parent, attorney, or another organization. Others take the program voluntarily to understand vaping products, nicotine or THC exposure, health and behavioral risks, and practical steps for stopping.

The course is educational. It is not individualized legal advice, medical advice, counseling, treatment, a substance-use assessment, or a smoking-cessation service. Requirements may distinguish tobacco education, vaping education, marijuana education, treatment, or another named program. Match the exact title, hours, audience, format, deadline, and certificate instructions in your paperwork before enrolling.

What our vaping awareness curriculum covers

The outline below comes from the current family-specific source curriculum and was checked against the live progressive LMS assignment.

1. Introduction and course overview

Why vaping has become a concern, especially for youth; the difference between educational information and individualized care; and how facts, reflection, knowledge checks, and practical planning fit together.

2. Vaping devices and how they work

Common e-cigarettes, vape pens, pod systems, and other electronic nicotine delivery systems; batteries, coils, cartridges, liquids, and the aerosol users inhale; and why product appearance does not reveal every ingredient or risk.

3. Nicotine and its effects

How nicotine reaches the brain, affects reward pathways, can produce dependence, and may influence the developing adolescent brain, attention, mood, heart rate, blood pressure, and patterns of repeated use.

4. THC and marijuana vaping

How THC affects the brain and body, why concentrated cannabis oils can deliver high doses, impairment and decision-making concerns, and risks tied to unregulated or contaminated products.

5. Physical health risks

Potential effects on the lungs, heart, and circulation; aerosol exposure; nicotine poisoning; device burns or explosions; and the history of vaping-associated lung injury, presented as general education rather than medical diagnosis.

6. Social and legal consequences

Possible school or workplace discipline, effects on sports and activities, loss of trust, financial cost, age restrictions, possession rules, impaired-driving exposure, and why the exact law or policy must be checked locally.

7. Strategies for quitting

Identifying reasons to stop, setting a quit date, removing devices and triggers, planning for cravings and withdrawal, asking for support, and understanding that professional or medical help may be appropriate for some people.

8. Maintaining a vape-free lifestyle

Recognizing high-risk situations, responding to peer pressure and stress, building routines and supports, learning from slips without giving up, and creating a practical plan for protecting progress over time.

Course work: the assigned path includes instructional lessons, reflection or scenarios, and knowledge checks. Complete the material and assessment steps attached to the hour version you select.

How the 4-, 6-, 8-, 12-, and 16-hour versions differ

The live LMS assignment is progressive. Each longer version keeps the earlier assigned modules and adds a later subject from the actual eight-part curriculum; maintaining a vape-free lifestyle closes every version.

  • 4 hours: “Introduction and Course Overview,” “Vaping Devices and How They Work,” “Nicotine and Its Effects on the Body,” then “Maintaining a Vape-Free Lifestyle.”
  • 6 hours: adds “THC and Marijuana Vaping – Effects on the Body and Mind.”
  • 8 hours: adds “Physical Health Risks of Vaping (Lungs, Heart, and More).”
  • 12 hours: adds “Social and Legal Consequences of Vaping.”
  • 16 hours: adds “Strategies for Quitting Vaping (Nicotine) & Quitting THC (Cannabis) Vaping: Strategies for Success.”
Choose the hours written in your paperwork. If the requirement names treatment, counseling, an assessment, testing, tobacco cessation, or another exact program, do not assume this educational program replaces it. Confirm before purchasing.

Will a court accept this course?

Vaping-education requirements differ by jurisdiction and referral. A court, school, employer, or other authority may specify the participant age, program title, nicotine or THC focus, number of hours, online or in-person format, provider qualification, assessment or treatment component, deadline, or certificate-submission method.

Confirm every requirement before enrolling. This program provides education and completion documentation; it does not determine acceptance, diagnose or treat substance use, provide medical care or counseling, or replace another specifically required service.

The course is purchased through a state storefront. Select the state connected to your requirement, then confirm the title, hours, and price there.

Vaping awareness program FAQ

Does the vaping program cover both nicotine and THC products?

Yes. The source curriculum separately discusses nicotine vaping and THC or marijuana vaping, then brings both into later health-risk, consequence, quitting, and maintenance topics.

Does the course explain how vaping devices work?

Yes. It reviews common device types and their shared components, including a battery, heating coil, cartridge or reservoir, and the liquid or oil that becomes an inhaled aerosol.

Does the program provide medical treatment or a substance-use assessment?

No. It is educational. It does not diagnose dependence, provide medical advice, prescribe cessation medication, perform an assessment, or replace counseling or treatment.

When are quitting strategies added to the hour versions?

The focused nicotine- and THC-vaping quitting module is added in the 16-hour assignment. Every version closes with material on maintaining a vape-free lifestyle.

Can a school require a different vaping program than a court?

Yes. Schools, courts, employers, probation offices, and other organizations can set different titles, hours, formats, and completion rules. Follow the exact written requirement and confirm unclear instructions before enrolling.

How is completion documented?

After you complete the lessons and knowledge checks assigned to your hour version, our system generates the certificate in-house. Save it and submit it exactly as the requesting authority directs.
